🎬 Film Earthlings 2005

"Earthlings" (2005) — a documentary film by director Shaun Monson about how humans use animals for food, clothing, entertainment, and science. Duration — about 95 minutes, narration by Joaquin Phoenix, music by Moby; all the creators of the film are vegans.

The main concept of the film is "speciesism": the oppression of living beings only because they belong to another species. The film is divided into parts and shows with a hidden camera what happens in pet stores, nurseries, shelters, farms, slaughterhouses, fur shops, circuses, and laboratories. About two-thirds of the footage was shot covertly.

The film received the Artivist Film Festival award as best documentary and became cult for the animal rights movement. Due to frank and cruel footage, viewing is recommended from 18 years old.
